Betrayed - Life After Betrayal

Betrayal does not have to end with you stuck in a pit.  You weren't planning to be in a pit, but God will use the pit in His plan.  How you respond will determine your next level after the pit.  We need to respond in three ways:  STAY LOYAL TO GOD.  Whereever you are, stay loyal to God.  Keep committed to Him, and His way.  Genesis 39:2 says this about Joseph - "The Lord was with Joseph and he prospered and he lived in the house of his Egyptian master..."  God was with Joseph - Joseph stayed connected with God, even while in a foreign land.  Next - STAY LOYAL AND WAIT FOR GOD.  Where do you look when you are in the pit?  What is your perspective.  God is building something in your life.  Wait for God to do it.  And while you are waiting for God, people are watching how you handle that pit situation.  And also, STAY LOYAL TO THE AUTHORITIES IN YOUR LIFE.  We have to get under what God has placed over us.  Trust God and be loyal to those He places over you.  Joseph was under Potipher and was loyal to him.  Joseph may not have understood why he was there, but he did understand the principle of being loyal to the authority in his life, and it took him to what God had prepared for him.  When you are in the pit and feeling betrayed, or hurt, or scared - Psalm 40: 1,2,3 says, "I waited patiently for the Lord; He turned to me and heard my cry.  He lifted me out of the slimy pit... many will see and fear and put their trust in God."  Let God turn the situation of the pit into the life He has prepared for you.
