Purpose & Beliefs

Our Vision

Our vision for Church of Hope is simple.  We exist to Reach, Raise and Restore.

A key purpose of Hope is to reach out to God and to reach out to people who are outside the family of God. We have this opportunity to impact people everyday by sharing the life changing message of Jesus. As we reach out to God together, we can reach out to friends and neighbors by inviting them to attend Hope so they will hear and understand the message of Hope.

Another key purpose of Hope is to provide an exciting environment to help you grow spiritually and develop you to be everything that God has intended you to be. We are focused on providing practical principles from the word of God that can be applied to everyday life. We want to help you move to the next level in your relationship with God.

We also exist to be a place of new beginning that truly offers hope to a world that needs to be restored. God is all about restoring people to be in right relationship with Him. We want to help you not only connect with God, but also connect with this world that needs to be restored. Whatever has happened in the past, we want to help you connect to the God of new beginnings.

Our Values

Church of Hope is a “Grace Giving” church. We come to God as we are, and He helps us to grow in His grace. There are five values that guide our church family.

G - Glorify God
May the God who gives endurance and encouragement give you a spirit of unity among yourselves as you follow Christ Jesus, so that with one heart and mouth you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. (Romans 15:5-6 NIV)

The true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. God is Spirit, and his worshipers must worship in spirit and in truth. (John 4:23-24 NIV)

R - Reach out to others
So His master said, “Go out into the country lanes and behind the hedges and urge anyone you find to come, so that the house will full.” (Luke 14:23 NLT)

Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the son and of the Holy Spirit. (Matthew 28:19 NIV)

A - Accept people the way God does
Suddenly, a man with leprosy approached Jesus. He knelt before him, worshipping, “Lord,” the man said, “If you want to, you can make me well again.” Jesus touched him. “I want to,” He said. “Be healed!” And instantly the leprosy disappeared. (Matthew 8:2-3 NLT)

Accept one another, then, just as Christ accepted you, in order to bring praise to God. (Romans 15:7 NIV)

C - Commit to spiritual growth
But you, dear friends, build yourselves up in your most holy faith and pray in the Holy Spirit. Keep yourselves in God’s love as you wait for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to bring you to eternal life. (Jude 1:20-21 NIV)

E- Empower you for ministry

(God has given)…apostles…prophets…evangelists…pastors and teachers… Their responsibility is to equip God’s people to do His work and build up the Church, the body of Christ…that we will be mature and full grown in the Lord… (Ephesians 4:11-13 NLT)

Our Beliefs

We Believe ...In one God, the creator of the universe who exists in three distinct persons, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We believe Jesus Christ is the son of God who came to this earth as Savior
of the world.

We Believe...The Bible is God’s Word to all men, written by people, without error and the authority on what we base our faith.

We Believe...Salvation is a gift from God to man. Man can never make up for his sin by self improvement or good works. We believe salvation is found by placing faith in Jesus and receiving his forgiveness puts us into right relationship with God. We believe Jesus rose from the dead and is coming again.

We Believe...Water baptism is an outward symbol of the inner cleansing power of the blood of Jesus and a testimony to our faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.

We Believe...Taking Communion is an act of remembrance of what the Lord Jesus did for us on the cross.

We Believe...Every Believer should be committed to growing spiritually in their relationship with Jesus by obeying God’s Word, living a Holy Spirit led life being conformed to the image of Christ.

We Believe...As followers of Jesus that the glory of living will be experienced because we are overcomers and more than conquerors.
